Terms of Service
Effective May 14, 2026
These are the rules for using The NOVA Relocation Guide. By signing up for the newsletter, submitting an editorial or event, requesting the print copy, or working with us on real estate, you agree to what is on this page.
We have written it in plain English so you can actually read it. If something is unclear, email us and we will fix the language.
What we provide
The NOVA Relocation Guide is a free daily newsletter about Northern Virginia, plus a free monthly print edition mailed to subscribers in NOVA. We also offer real estate services through our affiliated brokerage, accept editorial submissions from local writers, list community events, and run paid sponsorships in our newsletter.
Signing up
You can sign up for the free newsletter at any time using any form on this site. You confirm that the email address and any other contact information you provide is your own, and that you are at least 13 years old. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter.

The newsletter, the website, and the print edition are owned by The NOVA Relocation Guide. You are welcome to:
- Read and share individual issues with friends and family.
- Quote short passages with attribution and a link back to us.
- Forward a newsletter to a neighbor who might enjoy it.
You may not republish full issues, scrape the site for content, or repackage our material as your own product without written permission.
Content you submit
If you submit an editorial, event listing, photos, or a link to media you own, you confirm that:
- The work is yours, or you have permission to share it.
- You grant us the right to publish and edit your submission for clarity, length, and house style.
- We may include your name and bio if you provided them.
- We may decline to publish anything we believe is inaccurate, off-brand, or off-topic.
You keep ownership of what you submit. We get permission to publish it in our newsletter and on our website.
The 25 percent to nonprofit promise
When you buy or sell a home with Yvenson Juste as your real estate agent through the brokerage relationship described on our work-with-me page, we commit to donating 25 percent of the commission we earn on that transaction to a nonprofit you choose.
How it works:
- You pick the nonprofit. It must be a registered 501(c)(3) or equivalent verified charitable organization.
- The donation is sent directly from the settlement company to the nonprofit on settlement day, drawn from our commission at closing. You see the disbursement on the settlement statement and receive confirmation at the closing table.
- Because the donation is made by us from our commission, our business holds the tax-deductible receipt. You do not get the tax deduction.
- The 25 percent applies to the commission paid to our side of the transaction, after any brokerage splits. We will be transparent about the math.
- The promise does not apply to referral-only transactions where another agent represents you.
Real estate services
Real estate services are provided by Yvenson Juste, a licensed real estate agent in the Commonwealth of Virginia, through an affiliated brokerage. The newsletter is editorial content, not a real estate solicitation. Reading the newsletter does not create an agent-client relationship. An agent-client relationship begins only when both you and Yvenson sign a written representation agreement.
Sponsorships and advertising
Some newsletter issues include a sponsored block from a paying advertiser. We label sponsored content clearly. We choose sponsors we believe are relevant to NOVA readers, but we do not endorse a sponsor unless we say so directly. Advertisers do not get editorial control over the rest of the issue.
Not professional advice
The newsletter shares opinions, recommendations, and locally sourced information. It is not legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or professional real estate advice for your specific situation. If you are making a significant decision about a home, a school, a financial product, or your health, talk to a qualified professional first.
Ending your subscription
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. We can also discontinue your access if you abuse the service, submit fraudu
